A tourist from California, a woman in her 60s, is in critical condition after she fell out of a pedicab and hit her head in Midtown, New York City. The incident occurred late Sunday night on Eighth Avenue, near West 47th Street. According to the NYPD, the woman was riding with another woman in her 20s when she stood up in the pedicab and subsequently fell, resulting in her striking her head on the pavement. She was immediately taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The 33-year-old pedicab operator stayed at the scene, and no arrests were made following the incident.
